Step by step
What happens, and when
The steps are the same for every website. Timeframes depend on the package you choose.

Pick your package and send us an enquiry. We’ll confirm the project and email you the payment instructions.

Pay and complete your brief
Starter Websites are paid in full, larger websites start with a 50% deposit. Then answer a short brief and upload your logo and photos.

We design and build
We build your website on a private staging site and check it on every screen size.
Starter Website: usually 5–7 business days
Review your preview
See your website on a private link and send us your changes in one list.
Within 7 days
Approve and go live
Once you approve it (and, for larger websites, pay the remaining 50%), we launch it on your hosting and connect your domain.
Within 2 business days of access
After launch
We fix anything that isn’t working as agreed for 14 days. Website Care is there if you want ongoing help.
14 days of fixes
Business Websites usually take 2–3 weeks and Growth Websites 3–5 weeks, with the same steps.
Timing
How our timeframes work
The clock starts with your brief
Once we’ve confirmed your brief is complete and we have everything we need, we email you the date your preview is due.
Business days only
Weekends and public holidays aren’t counted.
It pauses while we wait on you
For example, while we wait for information, content, branding, access, feedback or approvals.
If your preview is delayed
If your first preview is delayed beyond the stated 5–7 business day timeframe due solely to a SiteBuddy delay, contact us and we’ll work with you to resolve it.
Changes
What counts as a round of changes
A round of changes is one list of changes, sent together within 7 days of your preview. Separate emails are combined into one round.
Included in a round of changes
- Text edits
- Swapping images
- Reordering or removing sections
- Colour and font changes within your layout
- Changing where form enquiries are sent
Counts as new work
- New pages or sections
- A different layout after your preview
- New features
- Changes that go against your approved brief
We’ll always quote new work before we start. Our own mistakes are never counted as a change.
Payment
Starter Websites are paid upfront, in full, before work starts. Business Websites, Growth Websites and Online Stores begin with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is due after you approve your website on our staging site, and before we launch it.
Going live
To go live, your website needs a domain name and WordPress hosting in your name. Don’t have them yet? We can set them up in your own account for a one-off $79, or look after hosting for you with Hosting + Care.
Refunds
For Starter Websites, you can cancel for a full refund any time before we start designing. After design starts, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.
